Friday Shoe History Corner

In honor of springtime and my fascination with all things yellow and vibrant (and in keeping with this seasons particular focus on the ballet flat), I present these early Regency period English ladies shoes. I think theyre adorable, and Id most certainly wear them if they were manufactured now.

I think the white embroidered satin detail on the toe is just darling.

These are in the footwear collection of the Northampton Museum and Art Gallery.
